Up till now, I've been handling bug fixes by email, but I have a couple today. My lucky day. And thought I would try out sharing the fix on this blog.
On the Clients tab in Contacts, there's a subtab that shows you all the jobs that have been done for this client. Normally in a portal, there's always a little round button on the left of each portal row that will take you to that exact record in the related table. But this one takes you to the first job you've ever done. Wrong!
The script step that goes to related records was originally set to *Jobs* but later I got the idea to show only active jobs in the portal and changed the portal to use the *JB_Active_CT* relationship but didn't change the associated script step. Oops!
Here's the fix. Sign in with an account that has master level access. Then select Scripts/ScriptMaker and scroll down:
Double-click and locate the highlighted scriptsteps that apply to this portal (this actually shows the fixed script step):
Double-click the Go to Related Record step highlighted and select JB_Active_CT in the *Get related record from* and Jobs from the *Show record using layout* prompts as shown below:
Click OK, OK, OK and you are done. Don't hesitate to let me know if you have questions.
