Decorating my Moleskine

Frida Kahlo Moleskine

I believe I've fallen from grace as far as coolness is concerned with this moleskine. But, this is the age of personalization and self-expression. Putting one of my Frida Kahlo stickers on this reporter made it fun. The painting shown is called The Little Hart.

Kahlo Stickers

If I had it to do over again, I might have preserved my dignity by putting only one sticker on without the extra moleskine stickers. But, alas, I received the stickers as a gift and wanted to use them. As someone who uses multiple moleskines of the same size, I need a way to tell them apart. Hence, stickers! This whole pack of 16 Dover Fine Art Stickers cost $1.50.

More discrete folks put stickers on the inside of their moleskines. But you could advertise your values and artistic preferences for all the world to see like I did. Come on, live a little!

To hell with cool; I like the way the stickers look on your cover.

Thanks, Johnny. I was really happy when I realized I could put cool stickers like these on my moleskines to tell them apart. Much nicer than just putting on a label.

When I put labels on my Moleskine spines and covers, they tend to come off after a (short) while, or to have the edges curl up. Haven't tried contact cement yet (would it melt the cover?) or spray-on adhesive (too messy).

What did you use to get the picture to stay on the Moleskine cover? How well is it holding the picture on during use of the notebook?

Hi Bill- I just put the Frida Kahlo stickers on in the last week, so can't tell you on those. But, the Moleskine stickers have been on for a while. Maybe you bang yours around more than I do or pull it out of tight spaces like a tight pocket? Your alternate solution ideas sound worth exploring. Good luck!

The best way to attach stickers to a moleskine is good old fashioned 3M "Magic Tape". As a confessed moleskine addict it's the only way I have found to keep them on the cover. There is something about the covers makeup that resists inks and glues! Of course, there is always an exception. The one sticker that has stayed securely fastened is my Apple sticker that come with my Mac Mini. Steve Jobs finds the solution once again..............

Hiya!
Love the moley with the wonderful Frida Kahlo on it and in fact that has got me on a goose chase to find those stickers coz I like em so much. And being in Australia makes it even more like a goose chase....thanks hon!
